BACKGROUND 

We may look different you and I,

sound different,

act different,

eat different food,

and live in different places

but when I look into your eyes, I see myself.

We Are One is a lyrical picture book about the principles of Ubuntu, from Eastern Cape born and bred author Refiloe Moahloli. It is a celebration of both our differences and similarities, and even though we look, sound, and act differently, eat different kinds of food and live in different places, we are all part of one human race.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR 

Refiloe Moahloli is passionate about writing stories that bring out the best in the human spirit, stories where children and the inner child in adults can identify and celebrate themselves. Refiloe grew up in Mthatha in the Eastern Cape. She has a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Information Systems from the University of Witwatersrand and spent the early part of her career navigating the corporate world. An eye-opening assignment to Mumbai eventually led to her pursuing her dream of becoming a full-time writer. She currently lives and works in Johannesburg.
